Hi, I'm Winnie.
A passionate product designer with an information management background. I like to do jogging, mountain climbing and yoga , so that refresh my mind, body, and help me get more creative ideas. I also like reading and listening podcast to learn new knowledge and improve myself. Keep an open mind to listen and do UX research with an empathy heart.
Why I decide to change career into UX?
I focus on web and APP design until I were be asked the question at the project meeting."Why do you think this button put on this position? why do you choose this color on this design?" I found that is "I feel it is a good design." when I can't answer the question. Therefore, I begin to google "what is the good design" mean.
However, I decide to join the product design camp(Alphacamp) within ten weeks at 2016. I formed a team to build and create the
ShaRead project by a product designer, engineers and marketing. And, I can feel a sense of accomplishment after completing this project. Through this project, I realized how to fit UI/UX practices to the real project via collaboration and listening. Also, I found that "Analyze the real reason behind product design" let me have more passionate and perseverance about design.
In order to challenge myself, except the digital product, I decided to explore different UX field in IoT and physical products. I have been building innovative products with teams in Inventec such as Smart leap beads, smart tumbler, smart wearable device, flexible screen device and dual screen laptop etc. Hence, I learned how to do UI/UX research on physical/IoT products and improve the sense of technology awareness. Also, I apply multiple patents to prove and protect my invention. That definitely help my writing skills because the documents should be well-defined and internal reviewed.
"Run hard, be strong, think big." It's my favorite quote.
I believe step outside the comfort zone is not meaning you need to push yourself too hard or be famous in your career. You just have little change and become your habits in daily day. For example, your target is reading four books a month begin, and up to six books a month when you achieve the target. It's not difficult to completed more target for long-term. Finally, hoping to keep challenging new things and pushing myself constantly.
